Google Ads for a jewelry brand in Lebanon: return up from 2.9x to 6.6x
LUMINA runs the Google Ads for a gold jewelry brand that sells online in Lebanon. More orders came in on less spend, and each one cost less than half what it did a year earlier.
From March to September 2026, every $1 spent on Google Ads brought back $6.60 in website orders, a 6.6x return. In the same months a year earlier it was 2.9x. The account took 51% more orders on 29% less spend, so each order cost $43 instead of $91. Orders on the website from all sources were up 74% in July to September. We keep the client's name private. Every figure comes straight from the ad account we manage.

What was the task?
Gold is a high-ticket, high-trust purchase. Shoppers search for the brand by name, compare prices per gram, and look at new arrivals for weeks before they buy. The account needed to be there at each of those moments, and it needed to spend where orders came from rather than where clicks were cheap.
Performance marketing, from strategy to daily management
LUMINA plans, builds and manages the brand's Google Ads, and tells the client which products and ads are selling.
What did LUMINA set up?
How the account is organised on Google.
-
Brand searches captured first
A Search campaign covers the brand's own name and its variations. People who already know the brand are the closest to buying, and this campaign returned 21.7x on 220 orders between March and September 2026.
-
Performance Max for everything else
A Performance Max campaign shows the full catalogue across Google Search, Shopping, YouTube and Display. It is the largest campaign in the account, with 119 orders over the seven months at a 4.2x return.
-
Campaigns grouped by what they can return
Separate Performance Max campaigns run with their own return targets, so a set of products that earns 5.6x is not pulled down by one that earns less. Budget follows the target each group reaches.
-
Shopping campaigns by range
Smaller Shopping campaigns test ranges on their own: new arrivals, newborn gifts, and listings shown with the price per gram shoppers compare. Each has its own budget, so a test never takes money from the campaigns that sell.
-
Video for people who have not searched yet
A short video campaign reaches new audiences on YouTube and Discover with the brand's own pieces, and is measured on the orders it brings rather than views.
-
Spend cut where orders were not
Spend fell 29% between the two periods while orders rose 51%. The budget that was removed came from the campaigns and months that were not producing orders, and stayed with the ones that were.
What were the results on Google?
| Measure | 2025 | 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Return on Google Ads | 2.9x | 6.6x | 2.3x higher |
| Orders from Google ads (index) | 100 | 151 | +51% |
| Ad spend (index) | 100 | 71 | −29% |
| Cost per order | $91 | $43 | −53% |
| Website orders from all sources, July to September (index) | 100 | 174 | +74% |
Source: Google Ads, March to September of each year, as the platform reports it, with one month of 2025 left out because its order values were not recorded. The Google Ads account is in US dollars. Orders and spend are shown as an index, with 2025 set to 100. Website orders from all sources come from Google Analytics.
What did the store see?
Ad returns only count the orders Google can trace to an ad. The store's own figures moved the same way. In July to September 2026 the website took 74% more orders from all sources than in the same months of 2025, as measured in Google Analytics.

What made the difference?
Three things. Brand searches were given their own campaign, so the cheapest orders in the account were never mixed with cold traffic. Campaigns were grouped by the return their products could reach, so budget followed results. And spend was cut where orders were not coming from, which is why the account took more orders on less money.
Questions brands ask before they start
It depends on margins, and gold margins are thin, so the return has to be high. In this account Google Ads returned 6.6x from March to September 2026, with brand Search at 21.7x and the main Performance Max campaign at 4.2x.
It did here. Performance Max is the largest campaign in the account and brought 119 orders over seven months. Separate Performance Max campaigns run with their own return targets so budget goes to the products that earn the most.
This one did: 51% more orders on 29% less spend. The spend that was removed had not been producing orders. The campaigns that were producing them kept their budgets.
